CHEMICAL ENGINEERING BURSARIES


 
1. SAPREF BURSARIES

Each bursary consists of an annual grant for fulltime study at a recognized South African university. The bursary covers tuition, residence fees, books and practical work experience as set by the university. The successful applicants get a chance to work at SAPREF during their vacation periods, which gives an opportunity to gain practical experience in their chosen field of study and also allows them to get to know the company. On completion of the degree, the graduate may be required to work for SAPREF for a set period. However, if no suitable position exists within our organization, s/he would be released of this obligation. Read more…

2. MINTEK BURSARIES

Mintek provides bursaries for undergraduate degrees at traditional universities and comprehensive universities. Bursaries cover the full payment of tuition fees, residence fees, and other costs, in return for a commitment to work at Mintek on a year-for-year basis. On completion of their studies, bursars undergo an intensive training course that is aimed at turning them into career scientists. Read more…

4. IDC BURSARY

Fields of study in which bursaries are awarded have to be directly related to industry, and will only include the following:
  • Engineering:
    BSc Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mining, Metallurgy, Civil, Analytical Chemistry and Geology. (Technikon level leading to B. Tech).
  • Applied Commercial Sciences:
    Bcom (Accountancy CA), Bcom Financial Mathematics, Information Systems, Information Technology and Computer Science, Investment Management, Agriculture, Environmental Science and Logistics. Read more…

  3. i am currently looking for a bursary this year in 2014. i am doing my second year at university of johannesburg i do have my academic record an whatever it may take to get the bursary i am a working hard student
